Woke up said my intention is to be more present today
So I had to ignore what my ego wanted to say

Things slowed down considerbly
It was an ongoing battle between my ego and spirituality

I wanted to be here totattly aware
But the ego says, "It's just not fair"

Ego is always in conflict with the present moment
Always trying to "own it"

I simply intended just to simply be
So I can experience that feeling of being free

It works for a few seconds then a thought arrives
Sooner or later the thought multiplies

Next thing you know I am in an ego type mode
Blaming and complaing of things that I don't really hold

These come in the form of the past, things and people of the old
How can this ego be so cold?

I tried to be in the present moment and it didnt work
This ego does cause a lot of suffering and hurt

A place that seems so easy and natural seems so hard to get into
It always seems easier to be in the ego then live in wha is true

I moved along at a very fortunate place
Some say blessed with a handsome face
Yet that didn't' concern me as I kept my pace

But I ran my own race
Not concerned with what others thought
Because in this lifetime it was happiness that I got

It was happiness in the extravagant things
Yet inner peace in the simple things life brings

I was fortunate for people that were highly skilled and friendly
I was fortunate in this lifetime to have not one enemy

Yet the jealous dark forces tried to get me
But I didn't jump in, in this lifetime my greatest gift was clarity

Clear to see the highs and lows that life may bring to others
But I say peace to all my sisters and brothers
And to all my lovers

That may have despised me at the same time
But I am grateful for the lessons in this blessed lifetime

I lived a fortunate life some that physical beings would have a hard time grasping
But it was how I can laugh at myself that kept them laughing

I had good days and bad days here on earth
But this lifetime i felt more pleasure than hurt

I have seen hurt in other lifetimes
And learned from it accordingly

This lifetime I am grateful for the blessings and all that I see
In this lifetime I was unlimited good and prosperity

Abundance, joy, serenity, peace, laughter all abound
I was blessed this time around

I Can Write Forever

I don't know why But I can write forever
I can put words together and be really clever

This gift is amazing
I don't know how to explain it

Writing is where I am the perfect fit
I process in terms of words

I think in terms of putting sentences together nicely
This is the essence of my poetry

It is real authentic and to the point
And I'm not even trying to prove a point

It just is what I believe it to be
In this lifetime I was most free when writing poetry

Go past the mind and pass logic

Go into a space of inner silence
Meditation and the learning process

Be the poetry instead of writing the poem
Learning about meditation is now what you owe em'

You owe yourself the silence of thought
Be in the awakening of all things sought

Be in the still place of quiet
Your ego will try hard to fight it

But learning meditation starts by allowing it in
Be silent and breath in and out again and again
